Denis Bouchard | Macro and nature shots
Denis Bouchard discovered photography in 1986. He started his quest with fully manual cameras, black & white wet lab, manual focus etc. He has witnessed all the developments of the new digital era and now works exclusively in a digital workflow environment. He has done sports photography, events coverage, fashion, portraits, glamor... and many experiments.
Denis ponders, 'Is it the ever more digital and virtual aspects of
photography that brought me back to nature? These photos
represent where I am now in my process. I must give proper credit to
the real creator of these images... nature. It's beauty is at every
level of viewing, from landscapes to the macro and micro world. I hope
to show a little glimpse of it in my macro nature photography. It is
very simple: when I look trough the magnifying lens, I try to let
nature inspire me, keep my mind shut and press the shutter. I think
it's also about being a kid again and letting oneself be surprised.'
